Bishop Heber College triumphs
Bishop Heber College here has emerged victorious in the Bharathidasan University inter-collegiate cricket tournament.
Twenty six colleges in Tiruchi zone, comprising Tiruchi, Karur, Perambalur, and Ariyalur districts, and 21 colleges in Thanjavur zone, consisting of Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, and Pudukottai districts, took part in the tournament. Two colleges from each zone – Bishop Heber College and St. Joseph’s College (Tiruchi zone) and Khadir Mohideen College, Adirampattinam, and H.H.
The Rajah’s College, Pudukottai, (Thanjavur zone) – qualified for the inter-zonal four-team league held at Pudukottai recently.
Bishop Heber College won all its matches in the four-team league to clinch the top spot.
St. Joseph’s College (two wins and a loss) and Khadir Mohideen College (one win and two losses) finished second and third respectively.
D. Paul Dhayabaran, Principal, Bishop Heber College, and L.C. John, Head, Department of Physical Education, felicitated the students.
